Our vision for the Tigray Community Association of Calgary (TCAC) is to cultivate a vibrant and cohesive Tigrayan community deeply rooted in cultural richness, social harmony, and shared prosperity. We envision a future where Tigrayan individuals and families feel empowered, supported, and deeply connected to their heritage while actively contributing to the diverse tapestry of Canadian society.

As Tigrayan Canadians, we are committed to enriching the capacity and proficiency of our community members to enable them to make maximum contributions and attain personal and professional fulfillment. TCAC is dedicated to implementing a range of initiatives, including:

• Providing essential skills training for new Tigrayan immigrants, encompassing language proficiency, job application techniques, and computer literacy.

• Offering educational sessions for children to learn about Tigray’s rich history, culture, and language.

• Facilitating the sharing of job opportunities and postings among members, alongside providing support and guidance with resume writing and mock interviews.

• Supporting Tigrayan-owned businesses in Canada to foster economic growth and sustainability.

• Organizing cultural celebrations such as Ashenda to honor and celebrate our heritage.

• Establishing a platform to foster networking and mutual support among community members.
